My cat brought it to me still alive and screaming so I tried to rescue it from her jaws and it locked onto my left index finger at the base of the nail..
I learnt from it.

I had a Dachshund from the age of 4 until I was 19 and, although I loved her dearly, she could get a bit snappy. Especially at THAT time of the month.
